We look forward to seeing them back with us soon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, our learning experiences included:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Literacy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: We introduced the sound of the letter <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201ca\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and practiced how to form the letter. The children enjoyed listening to a story, singing the letter song with actions, and creating a collage linked to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201ca for apple.\u201d<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<p><\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Mathematics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Our focus was on <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">measurement<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. The children compared objects using the words <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201ctall\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cshort.\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We also introduced the number <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> through a fun rhyme: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAround the track and back again, that\u2019s how we write number two.\u201d<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<p><\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Unit of Inquiry (Who We Are)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Our big idea this week was <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">growth and change<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. It was wonderful to hear our young learners share their thoughts about what babies and toddlers can do, and begin to understand the changes that happen as we grow.
