Here\u2019s a look at what each grade has been exploring:<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f KG1<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students began learning about shapes.<\/li>\n<li>Practiced holding the pencil correctly while drawing shapes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f KG2<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Explored the importance of body parts.<\/li>\n<li>Created a collage of the human body using old fabric.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f Grade 1<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discovered the 7 Elements of Art, starting with line.<\/li>\n<li>Practiced making different types of lines in their artworks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f Grade 2<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Started discussing the word culture.<\/li>\n<li>Drew self-portraits highlighting one element from their own culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f Grade 3<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learned about printmaking.<\/li>\n<li>Designed patterns using handmade stamps with textures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f Grade 4<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Explored the element of art Value.<\/li>\n<li>Practiced shading from dark to light to create depth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f Grade 5<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduced to Omani antiques and Still Life.<\/li>\n<li>Practiced value and shading techniques to create strong still life artworks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\ud83c\udf1f Grade 6<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discussed migration and why people move from one country to another.<\/li>\n<li>Studied Jacob Lawrence\u2019s Migration Series and began creating sketches inspired by his dynamic Cubism style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2728 It\u2019s been an inspiring week of learning, discovery, and creativity!<\/p>\n<p>Wishing everyone a great long weekend \u2014 enjoy your time!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83c\udfa8 Visual Art Weekly Broadcaster Dear Parents and Students, It was a wonderful week in the Art Room as students began exciting new journeys in creativity and expression!
