Our DP1 Physicists kicked off their at-home experiments with a classic, high-stakes challenge: The Egg Drop!<\/b><\/p>\n
The mission, should they choose to accept it, was to build a device that could protect a raw egg from a perilous plunge. This wasn’t just about building a cushion; it was a fantastic, hands-on lesson in applying the scientific method, momentum, and impulse outside the classroom.<\/p>\n
We had many incredible designs, but I’m thrilled to announce that Tia’s Casing<\/b> has proven to be our champion! Her ingenious design was put through intense testing with drops at various speeds, and each time, the egg emerged completely unscathed. A flawless victory! Congratulations, Tia!<\/p>\n
In science, we also learn from bold attempts! Ali<\/b> took a daring approach, aiming for a soft landing on grass. Unfortunately, his egg had a small, pre-existing crack that didn’t survive the impact. We applaud his courage and can’t wait to see him try again with a fresh egg. Every attempt is a step forward!<\/p>\n

Next up, a question: “What happens if you try to walk with a full glass of water?” It spills, of course!<\/p>\n
So, the next challenge was simple: come up with a tray that wouldn’t let that happen. And you’d be surprised how easily our students solved this tricky physics puzzle! They designed and built clever trays that perfectly counteracted the motion.<\/p>\n
