They spent time reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. Together, we explored our classroom and discovered the different play areas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"389\" data-end=\"680\">We also enjoyed some special stories about starting school, including <em data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"493\">The Color Monster Goes to School<\/em> and <em data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"530\">How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?<\/em> To help us learn how to care for our classroom books, we read <em data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"612\">Mr. Wiggles\u2019 Book<\/em> and even created our own Mr. Wiggles using fast-drying playdough.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"682\" data-end=\"847\">Next week, we are excited to begin phonics with the <strong data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"741\">\/s\/<\/strong> sound and start our math journey with the number <strong data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"796\">1<\/strong>\u2014because every adventure begins at the beginning!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This was our very first week of KG2, and the students have settled in beautifully.
