Dear Secondary Parents<\/p>\n
As we approach the final weeks of the academic year, I\u2019d like to take a moment to recognise the hard work, determination, and resilience our students have shown during exam season.<\/p>\n
Our Grade 12 students have now completed their IB Diploma Programme examinations\u2014a major milestone in their academic journey. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and look forward to celebrating their graduation next week at the Radisson Hotel. It promises to be a memorable evening, marking the end of one chapter and the exciting beginning of another.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, our Grade 10 students have successfully completed their MYP eAssessments. These external IB assessments are a significant part of the Middle Years Programme, and we commend our students for their focus and perseverance. For many, this was their first experience of external exams, and they handled it with maturity and confidence.<\/p>\n
Our Grade 11 students have also now finished their end-of-year exams. These assessments not only mark the conclusion of the academic year, but also serve as vital preparation as they head into the final stretch of the Diploma Programme next year.<\/p>\n
Lastly, we extend our very best wishes to our Arabic students who begin their Ministry of Education examinations next week.<\/p>\n
To all students and families, thank you for your continued support during this busy and important time of year. Your encouragement, understanding, and partnership play a vital role in student success.<\/p>\n
Reminder of Secondary Open Classrooms<\/strong><\/p>\n Following on from our successful Primary Open Classrooms, I am pleased to now confirm the details for Secondary. This will take place on Wednesday 4th June from 8.00 am – 10.00 am<\/strong>. I will be available throughout this time in the LC3 Cafe for coffee and questions. We ask all parents to meet initially in the cafe and then you will have the opportunity to visit the following lessons;<\/p>\n G7 –\u00a0 Music 8.20 – 9.20\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Mr Camilo G8A – Maths 8.20 – 9.20.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Mr Ferdi A G8B – Design 8.20 – 9.20\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Mr Marek G9 –\u00a0 \u00a0English 8.20 – 9.00\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Ms Peters (G8 space) We would like to give parents an opportunity to come and observe the teaching and learning that takes place in our Secondary School and get a better understanding of the MYP. It is especially important for our Grade 6 Parents who will have an opportunity to see MYP in practice and gain a better understanding of the differences from PYP.
