Your presence meant a lot\u2014not just to your child, but to all of us. It brought so much positive energy and excitement to the class. It was lovely seeing you work side by side with your child during choice time activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, we continued exploring the story <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Little Red Hen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. The children enjoyed talking about the characters and had lots of fun acting out the story using character masks!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In math, we\u2019re still focusing on 3D shapes and their features. We talked about:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Cube<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 shaped like a box, with 6 equal square sides, and it slides rather than rolls.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Sphere<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 round like a ball, it can roll in any direction.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Cone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 has a round flat bottom and a pointy top, and it rolls in a circle (but not like a ball!).<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Cylinder<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 has two flat round sides and one curved side; it rolls forward and backward.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During literacy time, we\u2019ve been reviewing letter sounds, and the children are doing a fantastic job with their revision!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lastly, feel free to click the link <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/photos.app.goo.gl\/4t1HcPNuHmJBE8vK6\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Week 34<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to enjoy some lovely photos from our week\u2019s learning experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wishing you all a restful and joyful weekend!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Warm regards,<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Ms. AlJabri &amp; Ms. Maryam<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear KG2 Families, Thank you so much to all the parents who joined us for the Open Classroom session today!
