Dear KG2 Families,<\/b><\/p>\n
What a fun and busy week we’ve had together!<\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019re continuing our Unit of Inquiry, <\/span>\u201cHow We Express Ourselves,\u201d<\/b> and this week we introduced the children to <\/span>\u201cThe Stone Story.\u201d<\/span><\/i> They were so curious and excited about this unique kind of story! The goal of this activity is to help the children tell their own simple stories using pictures and build short, meaningful sentences. They did such a great job sharing their ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n In math, we\u2019ve been learning all about <\/span>3D shapes<\/b>, and this week we focused on the <\/span>cube<\/b>. We talked about how it has 6 faces and 8 corners. To bring the learning to life, the children built their own cubes using playdough and toothpicks \u2014 it was messy, creative, and lots of fun!<\/span><\/p>\n For phonics, we explored the letter <\/span>W<\/b>. The children practiced the sound, learned how to write it, and made their very own paper <\/span>watch<\/span><\/i> craft to go along with it.
