These students should bring their <\/span><b>iPads fully charged and headphones<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> please.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Astoorh, Mohammed Al Jabri, Huzeyfe, Farah, Lana, Yousuf, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Turqi, Homam, Maryam Al Habsi, Wasaif, Ali, Usama, Hilal, Mariya, Chaea<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Grade 5 has had a busy week focusing on wrapping up our unit of inquiry and preparing for our art gallery celebration of learning. Students finished editing their photographs and did some peer feedback to get some ideas if their photographs were making viewers feel the way they had planned. In literacy, students had time to focus on peer reviewing each other&#8217;s artist statements, highlighting any errors, saying one thing they liked and giving one suggestion for improvement. In maths we worked on comparing and ordering fractions. In maths we will continue to focus on comparing and ordering fractions before looking at converting fractions to decimals and percentages. We will also begin our last unit of inquiry of the year- How We Organise Ourselves- with the central idea: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The choices we make about growing and buying food can help or harm the environment. In literacy we will start to introduce students to research supported debates.
