Across all grade levels, students journeyed through culture, story, and sound \u2014 making connections between music, emotion, and identity.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"515\" data-end=\"518\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"569\">\ud83c\udf08 <strong data-start=\"527\" data-end=\"567\">KG1 \u2013 Emotions, Colours, and Culture<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"879\">Our youngest musicians continued their delightful journey through <em data-start=\"636\" data-end=\"643\">Mixed<\/em> by Arree Chung, exploring how <strong data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"704\">colors connect to emotions<\/strong>. Through playful songs, expressive movement, and storytelling, they discovered how to use their bodies, faces, and voices to show feelings like happy, sad, excited, and calm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"1152\">But the exploration didn\u2019t stop there! KG1 also dipped their toes into <strong data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"994\">children\u2019s music from around the world<\/strong> \u2014 clapping, stomping, spinning, and dancing to joyful tunes and playful games from many cultures. The room was filled with laughter, movement, and discovery.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1157\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1213\">\ud83c\udf0d <strong data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1211\">Grade 1 &amp; 2 \u2013 Singing the World\u2019s Stories<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1552\">Grade 1 and 2 students sang their way across continents this week! From folk songs to childhood favorites, they explored the <strong data-start=\"1339\" data-end=\"1384\">melodic traditions of different countries<\/strong>. Whether through call-and-response songs from Africa, lullabies from Asia, or circle games from Europe, students experienced the universal language of music in action.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1821\">They also sharpened their skills in <strong data-start=\"1590\" data-end=\"1611\">movement to music<\/strong> \u2014 marching, floating, stomping, and dancing \u2014 all while building coordination and a sense of beat. Storytelling tied it all together, allowing them to imagine, act, and sing as characters in the world of song.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"1823\" data-end=\"1826\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1828\" data-end=\"1871\">\ud83c\udfad <strong data-start=\"1835\" data-end=\"1869\">Grades 3\u20136 \u2013 Taking the Stage!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"2195\">It\u2019s showtime for our upper primary performers! This week, Grades 3 to 6 tackled <strong data-start=\"1953\" data-end=\"1971\">new repertoire<\/strong> with confidence and creativity. From solo performances to ensemble rehearsals, students honed their musical expression, experimented with vocal tone, and embraced <strong data-start=\"2135\" data-end=\"2164\">choreography and movement<\/strong> as part of their performances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2197\" data-end=\"2382\">Some students even tried their hand at leading warm-ups and offering peer feedback \u2014 showing that music is not just about performance but also <strong data-start=\"2340\" data-end=\"2381\">collaboration, leadership, and growth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"\" data-start=\"2384\" data-end=\"2387\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2389\" data-end=\"2414\">\ud83c\udf1f <strong data-start=\"2396\" data-end=\"2412\">What\u2019s Next?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2415\" data-end=\"2608\">With our end-of-term events approaching, each grade is working on something special.
