Grade 7 Science students are nearing the conclusion<\/span> of their unit in Energy, Forces, and Work.<\/strong> In<\/span> an<\/span> effort<\/span> to<\/span> build<\/span> research skills and media literacy<\/strong> into their learning, students<\/span> have collaborated<\/span> in groups to investigate the concept of Energy<\/span>. They<\/span> have<\/span> looked<\/span> into<\/span> its different<\/span> forms, uses<\/span>, sources, and underlying<\/span> principles. This<\/span> group task<\/span> helped<\/span> them<\/span> learn<\/span> more<\/span> in<\/span> depth and<\/span> also helped to develop<\/span>\u00a0their research and presentation skills, in<\/span> line<\/span> with the Approaches to Learning (ATLs).<\/p>\n

The research task, completed as a formative assessment under Criterion D, serves as valuable preparation for their summative Criterion D assessment next month. With their Criterion A assessment coming up in two weeks,<\/strong> students are encouraged to continue reviewing the unit material using resources provided on Google Classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their last unit on the basics of cell biology starts on the 3rd week of April.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Math, the students are preparing<\/span> for their Criterion A test on Monday 14th<\/strong> that will cover<\/span> angle properties<\/strong> (<\/span>the second part<\/span> of their geometry unit). We<\/span>\u00a0are<\/span> spending time in class this week revising key concepts and practicing problem-solving to ensure they are well-prepared for the assessment.<\/p>\n

The next unit on Algebraic expressions<\/strong> starts the week after.<\/p>\n
