This halfway point is an excellent opportunity to reflect on the growth our students have demonstrated since the start of the year and to celebrate their successes and achievements.

Today, you will receive the Semester 1 report, which provides a detailed overview of your child’s accomplishments, areas for continued development, and suggested next steps. We have made slight modifications to the report format, and we believe this revised layout will make it easier to interpret the teacher comments. I would appreciate any feedback you may have regarding the new format.

Please take the time to review the reports and discuss them with your child. If you wish to meet with your child’s teachers during next week’s Parent-Teacher Conferences, please sign up using the link shared in this week’s Newsflash.

ASA Session 3 – Laps Challenge

This week marked the beginning of Session 3 of our ASA program, and I wanted to mention my own ASA, which takes place on Mondays from 3:00 p.m. My ASA is the ‘Laps Challenge,’ where participants aim to complete as many laps of our school track as possible by running, jogging, or walking.

On Monday, I had a small group of six students join me, and together we completed (mostly walking!) either six or seven laps each. The weather was perfect for this activity, and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to chat with the students as we walked around the track. I learned that a certain Grade 1 student is a whizz at his times tables! If the timing works for you and you’d like to increase your step count for the day, please do come and join us.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Best regards,

Matthew

Primary Team Lead

Reminders:

Monday, January 27 / Tuesday, January 28: Optional Parent-Teacher Conferences (Sign-up via link shared last week) (No ASAs on Monday)

Thursday, January 30: No school

Thursday, February 6: G3–G6 Assembly (12:20–1:00 pm)

Sunday, February 9 – Thursday, February 13: Oman Week (Further details to follow)

Thursday, February 20: KG1-G2 Assembly (12:20 – 1:00 pm)

Thursday, February 20: International Food Evening (4:30–8.00 pm)

Wednesday, February 26: Grade 6 PYPX (Further details to follow)

Dear Primary Families, As we complete week 18 of this school year, we have reached the end of our second term.
