{"id":312782,"date":"2024-11-27T07:36:56","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T03:36:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abisoman.com\/broadcaster\/?p=312782"},"modified":"2024-11-27T07:36:56","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T03:36:56","slug":"ms-aljabri-week-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abisoman.com\/broadcaster\/2024\/11\/27\/ms-aljabri-week-13\/","title":{"rendered":"Ms.AlJabri Week 13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dear KG2 Families,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019re excited to share highlights from our learning journey this week as part of our current Unit of Inquiry, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;How the World Works.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, we explored the senses of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sight<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">touch<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Through engaging activities and experiments, the children deepened their understanding of how our senses help us explore and make sense of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sense of sight<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, we enhanced the sentence <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI see with my eyes\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by engaging the children in a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">color-changing experiment<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. After listening to the story <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMouse Paint,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> where curious mice discover how colors mix to create new ones, the children practiced mixing colors themselves, observing the changes through their sense of sight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sense of touch<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, we reinforced the phrase <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI touch with my hands\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by exploring different textures such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">hard, soft, rough,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">smooth<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. The children also participated in a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">floating and sinking experiment<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, using their sense of touch to feel different objects while learning new vocabulary related to textures and concepts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019ve captured some wonderful moments from this week in photos.
