It was an amazing week. \u00a0Let&#8217;s dive into this week&#8217;s highlights in the world of visual arts!<br \/>\nIt sounds like the young artists are off to a fantastic time:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>KG1<\/strong>** contiuous exploring the **elements of art** with a focus on **lines**. Practicing different types of lines\u2014straight, curved, zigzag, and more\u2014helps them build fundamental drawing skills and understand the variety of lines they can use to express themselves.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>KG2<\/strong>** moved a step further by continuing to discover **different texture techniques** in art. Learning about textures\u2014both visual and tactile\u2014encourages them to experiment with materials and understand how texture can be different when we trying to experiment on paper with paint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These foundational lessons are so valuable in nurturing creativity and helping students express themselves artistically. Keep up the great work!<\/p>\n<p>It sounds like each grade level is diving into exciting and inspiring projects tailored to their growing artistic skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>Grade 1<\/strong>** is beginning their **printmaking unit** by exploring textures in nature. Observing and feeling textures will give them a strong foundation for creating interesting prints inspired by the natural world.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>Grade 2<\/strong>** is busy with **crafts** as they create their own **community garden** of garden equipment. This hands-on project (origami )will help them develop spatial awareness and creativity while working as a team.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>Grade 3<\/strong>** is learning about **the human figure from different perspectives**. By drawing a football match from their imagination, they&#8217;re honing their observation skills and experimenting with movement and perspective in art.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>Grade 4<\/strong>** is continuing a **still life unit** with same fruits after a week and they started to see how it\u2019s changing by time. This will deepen their understanding of realism and encourage attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>Grade 5<\/strong>** is delving into **Impressionism** by studying **Van Gogh** and trying their hand at recreating *Starry Night*. This exploration introduces them to expressive brushstrokes and color use in the Impressionist style.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; **<strong>Grade 6<\/strong>** is exploring **abstract and modern art** through **Piet Mondrian**. They\u2019re conducting research, which will help them understand the minimalist, geometric approach that Mondrian and other modern artists pioneered. They started to draw their favorite pet by using his style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These projects are beautifully designed to foster creativity, technique, and art appreciation.
