This week we went outside and practiced our skip counting with sidewalk chalk: counting by twos, fives, and tens up to 100. It was a fun way to combine movement and learning. Additionally, we learned new “spelling friends,” such as qu and ou, which help students read and recognize more words.<\/span><\/p>\n

In our Unit about the Earth, we explored what the Earth is made of. We started last week with a nature walk to discover which elements we could find in our surroundings and asked the question: \u201cWhat is nature?\u201d Back in the classroom, the students drew and discussed their ideas, focusing on elements like land, water, air, and living creatures. We concluded the lessons by creating a group poster that showed and labeled all the elements. This way, we learned step by step what makes up the Earth and why these elements are important.<\/span><\/p>\n
