In our first Design Unit for Grade 8, students explored the creation of functioning clocks inspired by their own countries or cultures, following the MYP Design Cycle. The unit began with a mind map exercise, where students identified key signs and symbols representing their chosen nations. From there, we moved into the development phase, where students worked on creating the most effective composition for their clock designs. This week, we focused on setting specifications and justifying the design choices for their clocks. As our products near completion, the coming weeks will be dedicated to evaluating the final results.<\/p>\n
