We introduced it with the rhyme, &#8220;Bending down to pick up sticks, that&#8217;s how I make a number 6.&#8221; It\u2019s been wonderful to see the children writing numbers, one by one, like a fun poem. To reinforce the concept, we engaged in different activities, linking the number 6 with hands-on learning. We also began building the concept of grouping with the number 5, and we\u2019re continuing to practice this with various objects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In literacy, our focus was on the letter &#8220;P.&#8221; The children learned the letter name and sound through interactive activities. They built the letter with pom-poms, shaped it with playdough, and were thrilled to create art projects like &#8220;Pizza&#8221; and &#8220;Panda.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In our Unit of Inquiry, &#8220;Who We Are,&#8221; we focused on the learner profile attribute *Communicator*. The children learned what it means to be a good communicator and practiced by talking to their partners and sharing things about themselves.
