The children learned the letter\u2019s name and sound, and we explored words that start with &#8220;I.&#8221; They had a great time making an **ice cream** craft to connect with the letter! We are also practicing &#8220;name writing&#8221; daily, and we\u2019re proud of the progress our young learners are making.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Also on math we learned about the number &#8220;5&#8221;. The children practiced writing it and learned a fun way to remember: &#8220;a straight line, a big belly, and a hat on top\u2014Hello, Mr. 5!&#8221; We also used clay and collage to show what the number 5 means.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In our Unit Of Inquiry \u201cWho We Are\u201d We reading the story &#8220;Kelso the Frog\u2019s Big Day&#8221; to introduce \u201cKelso\u2019s Choices\u201d, which helps the children understand how to make good choices when solving problems. We also read &#8220;The Rabbit Listened&#8221; to teach the importance of listening when someone speaks. The children made &#8220;listening ears&#8221; as part of this activity to reinforce how we can be good communicators by listening carefully to others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thank you for your support! We\u2019ve included some <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/photos.app.goo.gl\/pueqAmSsysHeaR8n7\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">photos<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from this week\u2019s activities.
