Dear Primary Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like to begin by thanking those of you that were able to attend last night\u2019s Meet the Teacher Evening. It was lovely to see so many of you and I hope you enjoyed having the chance to meet the teachers and find out a little more about the year ahead. I enjoyed having the chance to speak with many parents and I would very much like to continue to build and develop our home-school relationship and partnership.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you ever do have questions or concerns about your child\u2019s learning, please do contact the homeroom teacher in the first instance as they are the ones who have the most regular contact with your child.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SeeSaw \/ Broadcaster Photographs<\/b><\/p>\n

During last night\u2019s information sessions, the importance of home-school communication was discussed. We use SeeSaw and regular weekly broadcaster posts to give insights into the learning taking place in our various learning areas and this includes the use of photographs. Please do not share these photos on any social media platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

After School Activities (ASA)<\/b><\/p>\n

Our After School Activities (ASA) program will begin on Sunday 8th September and we look forward to seeing our students enjoying these new activities. Please note that these activities end at 4:00 pm on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

IB Learner Profiles\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Having spent time in classrooms this week, I have been impressed by how the students are settling and adjusting to their new grade levels and learning spaces. Students have been part of the process of setting essential agreements for their classes and it is important that we help them to become independent, responsible learners. Our IB learner profiles are an important part of our programme, and I am enjoying seeing so many principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers throughout the primary school.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please do take the time to discuss classroom essential agreements with your child and ask questions about learner profile attributes they can display that can help them to be successful learners.<\/span><\/p>\n
