Dear Primary Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Today I have not been in school as I was off-site at a Safeguarding Forum in Muscat. Events such as these are important as they allow us to meet with colleagues from other schools and to share good practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am disappointed that I was unable to be present to enjoy what I am sure would have been a wonderful assembly to end the week. During the week I saw students practising to share their learning and I thank our teachers and classroom assistants for their efforts in getting students prepared. Next week we will enjoy the rescheduled Grade 3-6 assembly that was moved from the beginning of the month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Swimming Gala<\/span><\/p>\n

Today students from Grade 1 – 6 had the chance to take part in our end of year Swimming Gala. Again, I am disappointed to miss this event and will look forward to following up to hear all about it when I am back in school on Sunday. Thank you to Ms. Dorothy and Mr. Fernando for their efforts – we are well aware that this year has been a challenging one for our swim programme.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grade 4-6 Football vs ABQ<\/span><\/p>\n

On Sunday and Wednesday after school this week, our soccer players in Grades 4-6 enjoyed the chance to play friendly matches against our neighbours, ABQ. I was able to watch some of Sunday\u2019s games and it was wonderful to see the enthusiasm on display – both on and off the field! There were great saves, great shots, and some great goals. Congratulations to all the players and supporters and we will look forward to next week when there will be some basketball games taking place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weeks Ahead<\/span><\/p>\n

The countdown to the end of the school year has most definitely begun. Teachers are beginning the final weeks of units of work and ensuring that end of year assessments are completed. Please keep your child\u2019s homeroom teacher updated with any travel plans that may impact learning. The next 4 weeks will no doubt be busy and we are looking forward to a successful and enjoyable end of our academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n
