A couple of days off in the middle of the week due to the weather but we keep trucking on. \u00a0 Welcome to our review of week 22.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>School Events &#8211; Important Dates<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week we have had our end of module \u2018open book\u2019 assessment for maths as well as continuing to work on finalising all of our research and essay writing\/ presentation work for our exhibition coming up next week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Looking ahead, more information will be forthcoming in the near future about school camps and Oman week activities that have been postponed dou to the weather this week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PYP Exhibition February 20\/ 21<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">End of Term Break February 25 &#8211; 29<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Student Led Conferences (SLC) revised dates of April 22 and 23<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Home Learning &#8211; aka Homework<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students (and parents) could access <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1C0o0Y76pxTpJKBPfgj3Vht644n2xIKtYIp7Fa7QeD_s\/edit#heading=h.e5ydms3u27dv\"><b>Agency Centers<\/b><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in order to provide a chance for students to exercise their agency and to ensure that all students would not miss out on any learning due to a meeting with a mentor or inclement weather. As one important way to better connect school with home, please talk with your child(ren) about their project, their meeting with a mentor, the inquiry process and so on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Transdisciplinary Learning<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Language\/ Reading\/ Writing\/ UOI &#8211;\u00a0 Exhibition Summary<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students continued working hard to complete their inquiry work on their exhibition projects. This included finalising their research, completing their essays and putting their Exhibition journals in order. Students also worked on collating their information and designing their information display as well as practising their presentation for their exhibition next week.\u00a0 We look forward to this on the 20th and 21st of February.\u00a0 For this you are all warmly invited to attend the afternoon session of the grade 6 Exhibition in the Mazoon from 5:00 &#8211; 6:30 PM on the evening of the 20th of February.
