Welcome to the end of week 18.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As part of jumping off the deep end into anything and everything related to Exhibition, students have now completed designs for this years Exhibition merchandise. The design, which is this week\u2019s featured image, has been sent to the printers so that ABIS might provide some feedback for tee-shirts, mugs, banners, etc. For samples of your child\/rens learning work please see their Seesaw pages as well as the following <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1m3IdG62fw20Auh-xF5N1-59xDSc1yrRH?usp=sharing\"><b>LINK<\/b><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for some photos of this week&#8217;s work in class.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>School Events &#8211; Important Dates<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Swimming (PE)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> = Sundays for girls and Wednesdays for boys<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>G3-G6 Assembly<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> = Thursday, January 25, 2024 (Please note students will announce their Exhibition projects to the school community.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Home Learning &#8211; aka Homework<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students (and their parents) could access <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1bfR4tPE7SRt3oCv1z19PaD6AoBphz7iDFD_tjcrDAc4\/edit?usp=drive_link\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Agency Centers<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in order to provide a chance for students to exercise their agency and to ensure that all students would not miss out on any learning due to a meeting with a mentor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Exhibition (or Literacy + UoI) Summary<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students determined what makes readers trust a source or not, generated a list of trusted sources, researched, and took Cornell Notes in reading. Students clarified their central idea, lines of inquiry, a connection to a UNSDG, a problem or case study, and an action for their Exhibition projects before using summaries from their notes to write off of, to write long, or to begin drafting. Students also began to check in with their group mates with greater intention by making and confirming plans, by providing feedback for research and\/or writing, and by scanning through each other\u2019s Exhibition notebook before feeding ideas forward.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Numeracy Summary<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students wrapped up the first half of a unit about division of fractions and multiplication of decimal numbers with a mid-module assessment.
