Dear Parents and Students,<\/span><\/p>\n

Holiday bells are ringing! What a fantastic first half of the year!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Time has really flown by quickly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This week, the majority of our students had an extremely busy week with lots happening – Exams, Sports day, the school Musical and so on.<\/span><\/p>\n

To be honest, with two examinations this week, some of our students did seem a bit stressed however with their study guides and help with their self management\/ study time organisers that we worked on in class, we look forward to positive results. Certainly this is a lead into and good practice for grade 6 students transitioning into Grade 7. Students now only have 22 weeks before they complete the PYP (Primary) and move into the MYP (secondary School).<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, what a way to finish the week with two superb sports days back to back.<\/p>\n

Well done to everyone who participated,\u00a0 a huge thanks to everyone who contributed to making this a success and Congratulations<\/span> to Blue<\/span> team<\/span> for coming out on top for the second year in a row (see our Feature image for this week).<\/p>\n

Grade 6 Week 16 in pictures: 2023 2024<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Integrated Unit of Inquiry<\/b><\/p>\n

Language: <\/b>This week we have<\/span> revisited our earlier opinion writing piece with a view to improving this as well as working on completing all seesaw posts and reflections.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Exhibition: <\/b>This week all groups have reached out to other teachers in school to invite them to be monitors for their Exhibition project.\u00a0 As a result all groups now have mentors. All groups have also worked on tier central ideas and lines of inquiry, so we are definitely moving ahead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mathematics:<\/b><\/p>\n

This week students have continued to work on developing their basic facts and their understanding of how the division of fractions works.<\/span><\/p>\n

Homework<\/b><\/p>\n

Please remember that there is homework every day except over the weekend. It is important that students are reading, writing and doing Maths practice on a daily\u00a0 basis. Thank you for supporting this and for sighting and signing this every week.<\/span><\/p>\n
