Similarly, we\u2019re almost there to the end of another calendar year with the last few weeks of this year packed with school events. In the meantime, there was some phenomenal learning and teaching happening this week: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1elUv5CsAoCpUwtT0bDlyu430EU484_cz?usp=sharing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">G6 W14 in Pictures<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>School Events &#8211; Important Dates<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Omani Social Studies Exam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> = Thursday, December 7, 2023 (9:00-10:30) in G6 Classroom<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Winter Concert<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> = Thursday, December 7, 2023 @ 11:45 in the Mazoon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Islamic Studies Exam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> = Sunday, December 10, 2023 (9:00-10:30) in G6 Classroom<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Musical<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> = Monday, December 11, 2023 (Rehearsal) (Performance) in Mazoon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Arabic Exam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> = Tuesday, December 12, 2023 (9:00-10:30) in G6 Classroom<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Literacy Summary<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students completed some reading responses or write longs about when character traits collide, how groups wield power over individuals, and why stereotypes are important. Students also worked on (and many completed) a literary essay based on theme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Numeracy Summary<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students took assessments for ratios, unit rates, fractions, decimals, and percentages to end the first unit before reflecting on their learning journey through a SeeSaw Activity. Students also demonstrated the depth and breadth of their foundational skills by taking a number knowledge and problem-solving assessment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>UoI Summary<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, students completed their inquiry into the evolution of technology over the last century.
