This week in Upper Primary, our main focus was on exploring evasion games, with a special emphasis on Tchoukball. When introducing a new sport, understanding the rules and regulations can be quite challenging. However, this experience provided our students with a deeper insight into what makes Tchoukball distinctive. In this game, players are bound by certain rules, such as a 3-second time limit with the ball, a maximum of 3 passes, and 3 steps (with specific considerations for catching the ball). Additionally, when the ball remains in continuous play without any faults or points being awarded, both teams are granted the opportunity to shoot at the same net up to 3 times before the ball must be redirected to the opposing end. These games allowed our students to actively apply their knowledge and inquisitiveness, enhancing their understanding of the game and its strategic aspects.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Lower Primary, our young learners engaged in enjoyable and active experiences, focusing on developing proper techniques for catching and throwing. These activities were designed to help them acquire fundamental skills, including balance, agility, and coordination. It is worth noting that these foundational skills will continue to play a crucial role as they apply them to various activities, particularly when participating in cooperative and team-based games.<\/span><\/p>\n
