Once again G4 has had a very successful week.\u00a0 We are spreading kindness like confetti and posting our work to Seesaw.\u00a0 For photos from this week, please<\/span> see this ink<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

What We Did In Week 5<\/b><\/p>\n

Math: <\/b>Students have begun looking at large numbers by investigating their place values, various forms of expression, learning more about what \u201cplaceholder\u201d means, and understanding our base 10 system has a magnitude of 10. Please see the Seesaw posts of your child and that of the class<\/a> to see more about these.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Integrated Language & UOI: <\/b>We completed two tuning in activities this week.\u00a0 Kiddos watched and analysed a video about the ripple effect<\/a> of kindness as well as created a certificate for someone whom they admire and have an appreciation for.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\". \u00a0\u00a0 <\/a>\"\"\u00a0\u00a0 <\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Approaches to Learning Skills: <\/b>This week, students are focusing on the skill of time management.\u00a0 It is a skill we have been attaching to the Seesaw projects your students have recently been posting.\u00a0 As always time is generously given for students to work and finish projects.\u00a0 Unfortunately with this lesson, consequences also come up<\/span>.\u00a0<\/b>Also, as a part of self-management skill and our class culture, students are learning to develop perseverance.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Classroom Economy: <\/b>Classroom jobs were rolled out this week.\u00a0 Students have been skimming through the job posters and trying to choose the ones they are interested in.\u00a0 We plan for students to keep their job for a semester, pursue and apply for another next semester. Job posters will be added to Seesaw next week. Stay tuned!<\/span><\/p>\n

What You Can Do at Home: <\/b>Speak with your child about time management (\u2018We cherish our learning time\u2019) – the concept of responsibility and privilege being two sides of the same coin. Please discuss the frequently used words in the class this week and help your students <\/span>practise using these.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
