Greetings Friends and Family-<\/p>\n

So much is\/has and will be going on, it is making us all dizzy!<\/p>\n

To kick off our unit, G4 had a visitor this week.\u00a0 The well-known historical explorer Christopher Columbus made an appearance to speak with the kids about his experiences.\u00a0 He told student’s his story and feed them limes to prevent scurvy.\u00a0 Kids were all very excited.\u00a0 Student’s also built a timeline, studied a map and brainstormed travel vocabulary to get them revved up for a voyage into the past.<\/p>\n

Students have also been busy readying themselves for Student-Led Conferences.\u00a0 These will take place next week Tuesday 3:30-5:30 (I will be available) and Wednesday (1:00-4:30). Many of you have already signed up, if you haven’t please do.\u00a0 In conjunction with this, Wednesday there will be an early dismissal of 12:20.<\/p>\n

Next week is also the musical.\u00a0 Monday at 4:30 SHARP!\u00a0 The musical will start at 4:30, so please be here earlier to find a seat and get settled.\u00a0 Students are not allowed to stay after school until then, as they will not be supervised.<\/p>\n

Also…, the week next will be Book Week.\u00a0 Plans are still being formulated so I will provide more information later.<\/p>\n
