Students will now have until Monday of next week to complete an open book survey on this subject by completing an online form about their learning.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Again the central idea for this unit is:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><b><i>Human migration is a response to challenges, risks and opportunities.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For this unit students have been inquiring into:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reasons why people migrate\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Migration patterns\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The effects of migration on communities and individuals\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you are able to discuss this with your children at home as we work together to support their learning that would be great. I am sure you will have stories that you can share and that they will love spending time with you sharing these stories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Mathematics: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students continued to complete maths maintenance in preparation for their Basic facts assessment today. We look forward to sharing results during our Student Led Conferences (SLC\u2019s) coming up in March. They also learnt to represent a data set on a line graph.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please see below for a picture of some of our math work from this week.
