This week in G7 Language Acquisition<\/strong> our focus has been on planning for talking<\/em> and finding our voices<\/em>. We have been paying attention to Communication and Self-Management ATL’s.<\/em> Each member of the class has really thrown themselves into being risk-takers<\/em>, critically thinking<\/em> their way through solving the communication problems that they were presented with. We have engaged with a variety of different material and language scaffolding processes<\/em> to do this. They have created<\/em> and presented<\/em> book reports on their library books. They have used graphic organizers<\/em> to plan for both speaking and writing. Key academic concepts and language they have been developing their understanding of includes, organization<\/em> and categorization<\/em>, features of non-fiction texts<\/em> that can support effective researching<\/em>, as well as critical analysis<\/em> of images and verbal justification<\/em> of their thinking.<\/p>\n
