In English we have completed the first unit in advertising. \u00a0Students write an essay using the PEEL (make a point, give evidence, explain and then link back to the question) approach where they analyzed an advert in terms of techniques used. \u00a0 Our next unit is titled \u2018Trying to Fit in.\u2019 \u00a0 During this unit we will be investigating that theme by reading the book: \u2018The Outsiders\u2019 by S.E.Hinton.<\/p>\n

In Individuals and Societies we are also reaching the end of our current unit. \u00a0Students have been working in small groups to create a newscast about a natural disaster. \u00a0This includes looking at causes, what happened and \u00a0consequences. \u00a0In our next unit we will be investigating different types of government (EG; monarchy, democracy, dictatorship).<\/p>\n
