In order to raise awareness, the school counselor would like to share some information with you.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/abisoman.com\/broadcaster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2022\/10\/wmhd22.png\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also hel\u200b\u200bps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Good mental wellbeing doesn&#8217;t mean you&#8217;re always happy or unaffected by your experiences. But poor mental wellbeing can make it more difficult to cope with daily life.<\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/abisoman.com\/broadcaster\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2022\/10\/wmhd22.png\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following are feelings or behaviors that you or someone you know can experience as early warning sign of poor<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> mental wellbeing:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pulling away from people and usual activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eating or sleeping too much or too little<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Having low or no energy<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Feeling numb or like nothing matters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Having unexplained aches and pains<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Feeling helpless or hopeless<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Smoking, drinking, or using drugs more than usual<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Feeling unusually confused, forgetful, on edge, angry, upset, worried, or scared<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yelling or fighting with family and friends<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Experiencing severe mood swings that cause problems in relationships<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Having persistent thoughts and memories you can&#8217;t get out of your head<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hearing voices or believing things that are not true<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thinking of harming yourself or others<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Inability to perform daily tasks like taking care of your kids or getting to work or school<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are many strategies we can use to maintain wellbeing and positive mental health.\u00a0 For further information about maintaining your healthy well being I recommend visiting the <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mentalhealth.org.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-07\/mhf-our-best-ever-mental-health-tips-backed-by-research_0.pdf\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mental Health Tips<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 website.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As always, feel free to reach out to Ms. Maitha or Ms. Sharouq, the ABIS counsellors, for more information.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October is world mental health month.
