Hello there,<\/p>\n

In both English and Individuals and Societies we have started our first units of the year.<\/p>\n

In English the unit is entitled “Myths and Legends.”\u00a0 So far students have defined terms such as myth, legend, fable, folk tale, fairy tale and epic tale.\u00a0 They are now working in groups – developing the ATL social skill collaboration- on creation myths from around the world.\u00a0 They will present these as a formative assessment.\u00a0 This work will be a trial run for their first summative piece on either fire, water or hero myths.<\/p>\n

In Individuals ands Societies we are answering the question: Who are we and where do we come from?\u00a0 This has elements of history, in which they will be constructing a timeline of their lives, and Geography in which they will be investigating maps.\u00a0 At the moment studnets are undertaking source analysis of two portraits of King Henry VIII.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
