It was great having the students back in the school and being able to see everyone&#8217;s faces this year. We finished up the first week with a group reflection on how the first week had gone. The grade 11s found the first week was not too daunting. While the grade 12s (DP year 2 students) have stepped back into the swing of things smoothly and had plenty of sage advice to share with the new DP cohort. Their advice included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make yourself (and stick to) a calendar<\/li>\n<li>Work on big tasks gradually\n<ul>\n<li>Do not postpone to the last minute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Get enough rest<\/li>\n<li>Be realistic about your own study habits and plan accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with your teachers for advice and help<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We all know they have a lot to look forward to, both in expectations and learning, and sharing of advice was well received. We are all excited to be back and looking forward to a great year!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first week has already come and gone.
