In English we have started our new unit of inquiry entitled : Is Life Fair?   In this we are investigating the experiences of the Aboriginal culture in Australia and the impact that the British colonists had on their lives.   We are reading the book \u2018Follow the Rabbit Proof Fence, \u2018 which deals with this issue as well as the adventures of three girls on their 1000 kilometer walk home to escape from a boarding school.   This week we are also investigating the experiences of other native Indians around the world, including in USA, Canada and Latin America.<\/p>\n

In Individuals and Societies we completed our unit on environments by sharing individual pieces of research in speed meetings\/ elevator pitches.  This week we started our new unit which is an inquiry into life during the Middle Ages.  We have looked at continuity and change between that era and the present day.   We will next investigate the organisation of society at that time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
