Last week we won the Green Broccoli Award for having WASTE FREE LUNCHES. Thank you to all of you who make sure your children are coming to school with healthy, balanced lunches. It makes a huge difference to the children’s learning and behaviour. It is a timely reminder to please avoid packaged food wherever possible – if you read the labels on some packets you will notice the large amounts of sugar, salt and E-numbers that many foods have.<\/p>\n

\nWhat Does What?<\/b><\/p>\n

One of our homework tasks over the past week has been to find some gadgets or devices in the home that do not use batteries or power. The children then had to write a description of these gadgets and place them randomly on the poster so others can try to match the description with the picture. There were some fabulous hand drawn pictures. Check out our posters.<\/p>\n

Buddy Class time<\/b><\/p>\n

Reading to our buddy class. We have been reading to our buddies on a regular basis. This help us with our fluency and expression.<\/p>\n

How long is it?<\/b><\/p>\n

In our buddy class we created a looooooooooooooooooong line of cubes. We had to estimate how many there were and then some of us counted them!<\/p>\n
