The first song is called Funga Alafia, a folk song from West Africa. The song translates to \u201cWelcome my friends, I greet you in peace.\u201d We used a call and response activity to learn the words and then put together a short dance. The students enjoyed the song and many left the class singing the words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Maeve visited the K1 music class and was impressed by how the students engaged in the activities. We reinforced the beat by playing some games the K1 students enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During K2 PE this week the students learnt a new skill. Dodging is used in many sports to get around a member of the apposing side.
