We have had another busy week. The students have busy working on their science fair projects. They have all put a lot of effort into their projects and can’t wait to show them during the science fair next Thursday.
\nWe have been talking a lot about the impact of rubbish on people, animals and the environment and the students were split into groups to do some research on this. They made posters to display their findings and then presented their work to the Grade 5’s. The Grade 5’s were asked to peer assess them and to give them some advice on how to improve. The Grade 5’s were impressed by the presentation and made some constructive comments. <\/p>\n
We also went out and had a last look at the decomposition site. Most of the organic rubbish had disappeared but there was no change to the plastic packaging. The students gathered all of their observations and wrote a report about what they had learnt.<\/p>\n

\nThe students visited the Grade 3 classroom and joined in a maths activity morning. They played maths games together and displayed excellent co-operative skills.<\/p>\n
