This week we have started our new unit of inquiry \u2018Who We Are.\u2019 We are exploring being balanced in our lives and how our choices impact us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We began with looking at healthy fruits and vegetables, talking about the ones we like. We then listened to stories about healthy lifestyles and talked about how we can make our lives healthier. In the mornings the children do fitness all together in the MPA. They have been sorting foods into categories of healthy and unhealthy. Finally they listened to the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and made connections to the food they eat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Art we read the story of Mouse Paint and the children explored mixing paints to get different colours. They then used their hands and playdough cutters to make prints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been a very positive start to our new unit and the children are full of enthusiasm about their learning. Thank you to all parents who have provided different fruits and vegetables in their child\u2019s lunch boxes, please keep up the good work. Next week we will start our \u2018Rainbow Food Warrior\u2019 activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
