In English we have been busy investigating advertisements. \u00a0We have identified different techniques used and looked at print and video adverts. \u00a0Students have evaluated adverts and completed a formative assessment piece based on the Nike Advert: \u2018This is Us.\u2019 \u00a0They then applied those techniques in order to \u00a0create their own adverts. \u00a0Next week we will be practicing essay writing techniques in order for students to be able to complete the first summative assessment task of the year.<\/p>\n

In Individuals and Societies we are continuing our investigation into natural hazards. \u00a0We have finished looking at volcanoes and earthquakes and will be studying hurricanes and tsunamis next week. \u00a0After that we will look at case studies and use these as a foundation into further research into causes, consequences and responses to individual natural disasters. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
