This is great because it allows for more sharing of ideas and techniques between peers.<\/p>\n<p>Our DP1 students have recently chosen conceptual themes to guide their art exploration over the next two years; these include chaos, conflict, and fantasy. (It is quite common for working artists to follow a particular theme for several years and this is often what leads to a series of work for a show!) G11 is also working on a &#8220;20 in 20&#8221; challenge&#8211;20 artworks in 20 days using a common object as inspiration&#8211;and they are investigating other artists that work with found objects as well.<\/p>\n<p>In DP2, Lizzy is finishing a large-format oil painting while also practicing a new technique using ballpoint pen.
