Welcome back and hello to our new grade 11 Math A&I students. The DP course on Applications and Interpretation is grounded in practical reality. Hence the emphasis on measurements and its practical application. There is a clear connection of using Maths to solve practical problems – which provides a refreshing and meaningful approach for those not so interested in more theoretical Maths!<\/p>\n
However, the course work is intense and daily practice of work\u00a0 covered should become the norm for all DP students. I cannot emphasize this enough – this may be in the form of homework or self-study.<\/p>\n
As we go through the year, students should also keep a journal to reflect on learning and to ask possible “I wonder…” questions which will create material for the Internal Assessment paper. (more about this in later posts)<\/p>\n
