This week we had a brief introduction to each subject, which included a general overview of the key and related concepts as well as the assessment criteria.\u00a0 We then started the unit of inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>In English language and Literature we will be studying about advertising:\u00a0 What are the different types of advertising?\u00a0 What makes and effective advertisement?\u00a0 What are the ethics of advertising?<\/p>\n<p>In Individuals and Societies we have begun a Geography unit: Natural Hazards.\u00a0 We have defined the meaning of the term natural hazard, and identified several different types of natural hazard.\u00a0 We will be investigating why these hazards occur, what the consequences are and how people have tried to deal with the hazard.<\/p>\n<p>I am looking forward to learning with the students throughout these two units.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is fantastic to be in school at last and to meet the students face to face.
