Instead, the students performed a play called the Gingerbread Girl. In this story, the town is fearful because it seems the baker is, again, going to cook a gingerbread man. They have bad memories of the last time! Instead, the baker is making a gingerbread girl who will be sweet and kind. It was a great story and the students did a wonderful job of performing their parts. We also read a different version of the gingerbread girl&#8217;s story.
