Experiences ranged from falling off the ski slopes in Austria to chillaxing at home in Sohar<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.38;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\" id=\"docs-internal-guid-890b5497-7fff-8023-0b39-4de964b57efd\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Grade 12 DP students are jogging their memory on <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: italic;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Persepolis<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> to make revision notes for Paper 2.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> In preparation to starting <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: italic;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Maus<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> in grade 11, we shared our prior knowledge about WWII and the holocaust.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Additionally, we made connections to events happening around the world that frightenly mirror the beginnings of a holocaust<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">. Grade 9 is finishing up their last assessment for this unit. Grade 10 lost no time in getting back to IGCSE exam prep. review mode.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> Grade 7\/8 language acquisition class has started a new and exciting unit \u201cWho will fight for what is right?\u201d This unit will focus on young social activists from around the world that are fighting for global causes close to their heart.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a short but sweet week where we enjoyed getting to know how each of us spent the winter break.
