We read the book, discussed the pictures, went to the farm to take a look at a real pond and compare it to that in the book. Then we set up a pond in a classroom using some blue paper and natural objects. The students colored in their duck puppets, painted a pond in Arts and acted out the story while rereading the book and listening to the song!
