Part of that includes reading notes &#8211; both for pitch and rhythm &#8211; on the music staff and putting the correct fingering together.  We&#8217;re spending a lot of time with our first three notes: B, A, and G. This week, after doing some music math, each student copied down a rhythm, then added pitches to the rhythms.  They wrote their own songs!
