Our Grade 2 students have been developing their research skills this week by preparing questions and then interviewing a buddy from a different culture. The aim was to gather enough information to be able to identify similarities and differences between two cultures.<\/p>\n

We realised that in carrying out research you have to use a lot of skills. We needed communication skills and thinking skills as well as self-management skills to complete the task within the available time.<\/p>\n

We have enjoyed sharing about aspects of our culture and learning about other people’s culture. A very special part of this was our Cultural Shared lunch where we each brought a favourite dish from our culture and introduced this to the rest of the students in Grade 2. We shared a beautiful lunch and enjoyed tasting some new foods.<\/p>\n
