Grade 9 spent two periods playing &#8220;Unification Showdown&#8221;, a board game that challenged the students to race around the board, collecting territory and, ultimately, unifying Germany. <\/p>\n<p>At each stop around the board, the students were posed a unit review question&#8211;some short and sweet, others longer and written under the pressure of a 60-second clock. The students could challenge each other to a &#8220;duel&#8221; and wrestle precious territory away from each other.<\/p>\n<p>The game was quite fun and the students showed off their knowledge and understanding from the past five weeks.
