Dear Parents and Guardians,<\/p>\n

Although we are coming to the end of this school year, the Student Council has organized one final event: an ABIS Community Iftaar.<\/p>\n

As Ramadan is a chance for families to gather together, it seems fitting that our ABIS family take the opportunity to come together for one final celebration before the end of this school year. Additionally, this gives us a chance to celebrate the culture of our home country, Oman, and experience a unique tradition as an ABIS community.<\/p>\n

The Community Iftar will take place in the Gym on Monday the 5th of June. Doors will be open from 6:30pm, with a pre-Iftaar lecture about Ramadan and Omani traditions during Ramadan at 6:45 and the meal starting after the Athaan call. The evening will be ending around 8pm.<\/p>\n

Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. As we don\u2019t want everybody bringing the same dish, we have organized food categories for different people based on surnames:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Families with surnames from A-H should bring something savory<\/p>\n

\u2022 Families with surnames from I-Q should bring something sweet<\/p>\n

\u2022 Families with surnames from R-Z should bring fruits\/vegetables<\/p>\n
