Creativity combined with mathematical knowledge are key thinking attributes needed in this activity. Students design linear equations that are then graphed and used to carry marbles through their coordinate grids to collect the stars found on the coordinate grid. This is a great way of learning how the slope and locations of lines can be manipulated on a coordinate grid. Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/desmos.com\">demos.com<\/a> to find out more about the many online tools they offer for math students, including Marbleslides. These can be \u201cplayed\u201d for free on the iPad, anywhere there is an internet connection.
