ABIS entered three teams in a football tournament hosted by the Arsenal coaching clinic at the weekend. We had teams in the 10&U, 12&U and 14&U divisions and although all our teams started slowly they gradually grew in confidence to match it with some very strong teams and all recorded at least one win. The 10&U’ s had a great second game against the Arsenal squad with Liyth and Osama blitzing the opposition to win 4-0. The 12&Us followed a strong draw against SIS to beat the Bangladeshi School 2-0 while my highlight of the day was the 14&Us great win against Arsenal in their final game. After losing to Arsenal 4-0 in the round robin our boys played extremely well in the finals playoff to win 2-1 with the winning goal being an awesome left foot shot from Shalin.
